Last week Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) announced an FDE fellowship.

Starting this July, the folks deploying AI inside live enterprise environments can apply. It's like an Applied AI summer camp.

Palantir may have been sending Deltas, Echoes, and EMs to clients since the 2010s, but FDE as an industry discipline is still very nascent. The leading practitioners are scattered across companies, industries, and geographies.

A fellowship like this creates an opportunity to build a collective framework. Aggregate the inputs, standardize the outputs. At least that's what you'd hope to see. But standardization takes more than a collection of brilliant, accomplished minds. It comes from a system. Is a16z trying to build that system?

There's no doubt this collective represents a real opportunity. For the people invited, it should be personally meaningful and professionally impactful.

For those who can't join, I'd encourage you to look at how your field and product teams can collaborate today. Begin thinking through what your platform needs to create scalable client impact.
